Year: 2025
Location: Family Hiking Trail “reLAX”, Lax, Valais
Commissioners: Municipality of Lax and the Lax Cultural Association

The Outdoor Installation
Commissioned as a permanent contribution to the village landscape, this installation consists of two high-quality prints on Alu-Dibond (72 x 128 cm), mounted back-to-back in a bespoke metal frame for 360-degree visibility. Situated to be visible from the regional train station, the artwork serves as a visual gateway to the trail.
Conceptual Narrative
The painting explores the multifaceted nature of relaxation through music, dance, artistic expression, and the outdoors. A central theme is the vibrant cultural participation of the local youth in Lax. By depicting the joy and active engagement of the younger generation, the work serves as a symbol of hope and vitality for the future of the village. It reflects the artist’s belief that a thriving community is built upon the creative energy and shared happiness of its youth.
Interactive Design: The “reLAX” Card Game
Parallel to the installation, the artist designed a bespoke illustrated card game. This project synthesized cross-generational perspectives on relaxation, serving as a functional, independent companion to the trail that encourages dialogue between residents and visitors.
